One of the founding principles of community building is for people to gather together, face-to-face. The awesomely beautiful spaces in the The Saranac and Community buildings surround tenants and visitors with rich opportunities for connection every day, from happenstance meetings in the stairwell to more intentional gatherings in meeting rooms.
The success of our endeavors has led to a high demand for our meeting spaces. This is a good problem to have, from the standpoint of community building, but it also means we have had to become more restrictive in our offerings.
Conference rooms are reserved for tenant use as part of their lease agreement. Community groups wishing to use the facilities must coordinate with a tenant organization or the building manager, Pat Coleman. The community may use the space Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm, so long as space is not reserved for for-profit use, i.e. to sell or market products.

Sustainability Task Force
The purpose of the Sustainability Task Force is to engage tenant organizations in sustainable practices that will strengthen the bonds between us while also walking the talk in our day-to-day work lives beyond the models that Jim Sheehan has already created in these beautiful buildings.
Working in close collaboration with building staff and building owners, the task force meets monthly to strategize around development and implementation of various initiatives.
The governing body for the Community Building(s) is empowered to represent the tenants and negotiate with the CB management on issues that arise on a monthly basis. This committee also functions as a communication body so that information on all topics is reached by all tenants.
