Spokane Edible Tree Project’s 2017 Volunteer Kick-Off Party!

Spokane Edible Tree Project is kicking off the 2017 gleaning season with a volunteer party on the rooftop of the Saranac. Last year, we harvested over 42,000 pounds of produce to donate to those in need, and this year we hope to harvest even more! Come learn about volunteer opportunities and celebrate the start of the 2017 gleaning season with live music, food and beverages!

6-8pm, free, all ages welcome.

Elevator access is available from the ground floor of the Saranac. The rooftop is on the second floor.

Food will be provided by Azteca Downtown Spokane and beverages will be provided by Black Label Brewing Company!

Join community leaders, policy experts, students, advocates, and more at the Washington State Budget & Policy Center’s Spokane policy summit. At the Budget Matters summit, you’ll hear from keynote speaker Jared Bernstein from the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities on how our state can implement strong fiscal and social policies to grow the economy and generate shared prosperity. You will also hear from a panel of local leaders – moderated by KSPS Public TV General Manager Gary Stokes – about the impact of federal and state policy decisions on eastern Washington’s communities. Light breakfast and coffee will be provided.
